June 15 @ 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Free
women listening intently during workshop or talk

This practical, interactive session is designed for community members, volunteers and staff who want to engage others on climate change in a way that is positive, inclusive and actually effective.

Participants will learn how to talk about climate action without sounding forceful, overwhelming or “preachy”, and how to meet people where they are– not where we wish they were.

We’ll explore:

  • Why people switch off when it comes to climate (and how to avoid it)
  • How to frame climate action in a relatable, nonjudgemental way
  • Simple language shifts that change the whole conversation
  • How to engage at events and in the community without creating resistance
  • Practical tools to inspire curiosity, not defensiveness
