SORTING YOUR WASTE LIKE A PRO

An interactive workshop where we not only talk rubbish but
also physically sort out commonly used items.
We will cover what happens to each residential bin and
where the rubbish goes. (Tailored to your local council area.)

This 2 hours session includes hands-on sorting of common
waste items, packaging and the biggest contaminators like
nappies.

We will cover Product stewardship schemes such as CDS and
NTCRS and other local options like REDcycle and TerraCycle.
Our emphasis will be on Avoid, Reduce, Reuse and then know
exactly how to Recycle.

HOW TO COMPOST YOUR ORGANICS

Australia has the most depleted soils in the world. Yet, around
40% of the average household bin is organic (food) waste.

Participants will learn the importance of diverting our
organics from landfills.

This workshop shows practical ways how to set up a different
type of composting bin on a budget.

We will cover other available solutions such as worm farms
and bokashi. And even options for those without a garden or
space of their own.
