Thinking Green: DIY Coffee Scrub (Beechboro)

3 November 2022 @ 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Free
hands making coffee body scrub

Please note that this is a program for adults and young people aged 12 and over, and is an interactive workshop with hands-on activities. Photographs and videos may be taken of the event. Please bring a clean glass jar to take home your body scrub, ideally 250ml with a wide opening.

Presented by Sharka Hornakova from Donut Waste, this workshop introduces the idea of homemade skincare products as a natural, environmental and cost-effective alternative to buying pre-packaged products. Participants will learn about the materials used, good practices and where to locally and sustainably source products in order to reuse coffee grounds and make some body scrub to take home.

Thinking Green is a series of free programs hosted across the City’s libraries and community venues! To find out more and see the full list of workshops and talks, visit the City of Swan Libraries website.

In accordance with hygiene requirements, social distancing will be maintained throughout this program and hand sanitizing stations and cleaning products will be available for use.

Please book in as spaces are limited. For all inquiries contact Beechboro Public Library on 9207 8585.
